My name is Allan Chaney. I live in Tulsa, OK.
I own two Woodcraft franchise stores, one in Tulsa and one in Oklahoma City. Woodcraft is a retail store for home hobbyist woodworkers. There are about 100 nationwide. www.woodcraft.com I am fortunate enough to have great managers who run my stores operationally and thus allow me time to pursue this XNA thing. Woodworking is my other hobby.
My new hobby is XNA and C#.
I started programming when I received my first computer, the Tandy Color Computer II in the early 80s. Over the course of 5 years, I wrote a game called Paladin’s Legacy that was eventually published by Sundog Systems Inc. in 1988 just before Christmas. It was featured in Rainbow magazine a few months later and I was very proud. I made no money off of it because in 1989 the Color Computer market collapsed. It couldn’t have been my game so it must have been the market’s fault. :)
If you are interested in that retro stuff you can find my game here: http://paladinslegacy.spaces.live.com/
I have not programmed since I released that game. That was about 20 years ago. So although I have a mind for this stuff, I am woefully unequppied when it comes to these new programming languages. Object Oriented What??!! Thus I am starting again from scratch.
I plan to share as much as I can on this website to help other people like me.
